In opposition to university involvement with the “Israeli” state and their ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, student activists and community members rallied outside on May Day in support of the peaceful occupation of Wallis Hall by UR students. Their demands were financial divestment and disclosure from "Israel" and associated companies. The university's response was to cruelly destroy student property, assault unarmed students, and destroy the student encampment.
